Redact PDF
Before sharing a document you may need to hide sensitive details such as ID numbers, bank accounts, names or addresses. Beware: many tools just draw a black box over the text — but the words underneath stay in the file and can be copied straight back. That is fake redaction and a serious privacy leak.
Haven PDF performs true redaction: the text and image content under the redacted area is permanently destroyed in the exported file. The redacted information cannot be recovered, selected, searched or copied.
Everything happens entirely in your browser, on your device — the document is never uploaded to a server. You redact sensitive paperwork in the safest place possible: your own device. No sign-up, no payment, no install.
How to
- Open your PDF. Drag and drop the PDF that contains sensitive information.
- Redact areas. Use the redaction tool to draw a box over the text or areas you want to hide.
- Download. Export — the redacted content is downloaded permanently removed.
