- No. Conversion happens entirely in your browser; your Word document never leaves your device.
- Is the page layout preserved?
- Closely. Page size, margins, headings, lists, tables and images are kept, and common Word fonts such as Calibri and Cambria are swapped for metric-compatible open fonts, so lines break in the same places. For an exact copy of an unusual layout, use the "Print quality" option.
- How do I get the pictures out of a Word document?
- Open the .docx and choose "Show text & images": every picture stored in the file is listed, and you can download them one by one or all together as a ZIP, exactly as stored in the document, with no re-compression.
