Sign a PDF Without Adobe
You do not need Adobe Acrobat — or its subscription — to sign a PDF. Haven PDF lets you draw your signature with a mouse or finger, type it in a script font, or upload a photo of your ink signature, then place it exactly where the document needs it.
Unlike “free” e-sign services that make you create an account and upload the contract to their cloud, everything here happens in your browser. The signed document never leaves your device — you download it directly, ready to send back.
How to
- Open the Sign tool. Free, in your browser — no Adobe, no account.
- Load the PDF. The document stays on your device throughout.
- Create your signature. Draw, type or upload it — then place and resize it on the page.
- Download the signed PDF. Send it back by email or upload it wherever it is needed.
Three ways to make your signature
Draw it (works great on a phone or tablet with your finger), type your name and pick a signature style, or upload a photo/scan of your handwritten signature with the background removed. Resize and drop it onto the signature line — on any page, as many times as the document needs.
Is a drawn signature legally valid?
In most jurisdictions (eSIGN Act in the US, eIDAS in the EU), a simple electronic signature — an image of your signature placed with intent to sign — is legally binding for everyday contracts, NDAs, leases and forms. Documents requiring notarization or qualified digital certificates are the exception, not the rule.
Why in-browser signing is safer
A contract is exactly the document you do not want sitting on a third-party server. Haven PDF performs the entire signing process locally: the PDF is opened, signed and saved on your own device. No cloud copy, no account, no trace.
